About These Terms

These terms cover your use of fieldassembly.net, published by Field Assembly LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company.

There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no subscription. You are reading a free publication. These terms are correspondingly short, and the section that matters most is the second one.

1. What This Site Is

Field Assembly publishes reference works assembled from institutions' own published documents. Each page quotes those documents with dates, links to the originals, records a review date, and notes absences as findings rather than passing over them.

The Observations are short essays about how operations fail. They are commentary, not reference material, and nothing in them is specific to your situation.

2. Accuracy, and What the Works Are Not

Read this section even if you skip the rest.

The original source governs, always. Our pages quote what an institution published on a stated date. Institutions revise their policies, procedures, timelines, and contacts, sometimes without notice and sometimes without changing the page's own date. A quotation that was exact when we recorded it can be stale by the time you read it. Every page links to the original for this reason. If our page and the institution's current document disagree, the institution's document is what applies to you.

This is not legal advice, and we are not your lawyer, advocate, or representative. Reading these works creates no professional relationship of any kind. The subjects we cover — academic integrity proceedings, special education dispute procedures, professional licensure — carry real deadlines, and a missed deadline can end a case. Our timelines are reported from published sources, not calculated for your matter.

If something important turns on it, verify it and get help. Check the linked original, call the office named on it, and where the stakes warrant it, talk to a lawyer, an advocate, or an ombuds office. These works exist to tell you what the rules say and where to find them, so that you can ask better questions. They do not exist to answer them for you.

We take accuracy seriously and re-verify on a stated cadence. We do not warrant that any page is complete, current, or correct, and we cannot, because the documents underneath them are not ours.

3. Corrections

Corrections are made on the record. When we get something wrong, we fix the page and say what changed and when, rather than editing it silently.

If you find an error, write to [email protected]. A link to the source you are reading it against is the most useful thing you can send.

4. Using the Works

Read them, quote them, link to them, print them, and give them to someone who needs them. Attribution is appreciated and a link is better than a citation, because it lets the next person check the sources for themselves.

Do not present the works as your own, and do not republish them in a form that strips the source links, the dates, or the review notes, because those are the parts that make them trustworthy.

Do not use automated means to overload the site. There is no other acceptable-use rule worth writing, because there is nothing here to abuse: no accounts, no uploads, no user content, and no way to reach anyone but us.

5. Copyright

Our original writing, arrangement, and commentary are © 2026 Field Assembly LLC.

The quoted passages are not ours. They belong to the institutions that published them and are quoted, with attribution and a link, for the purpose of reporting and commenting on what those institutions have said — the ordinary business of a reference work. Government works quoted here are generally not subject to copyright.

6. Disclaimers and Liability

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Field Assembly LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything in it.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations above apply only as far as that state permits. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

8. Changes

We may revise these terms. The "Updated" date at the top records when, and a material change will be described rather than slipped in.

These terms replaced a version dated April 17, 2026 that covered accounts, registration, billing, and data services this publisher does not offer.
