Editions
Field Assembly grows the way a manual grows, in editions rather than releases. Each edition adds observations, plates, and materials.
A manual improves in editions. So does this.
Software ships releases, dated and quickly forgotten. A reference work grows differently. It gains a chapter, corrects a plate, adds a material, sharpens an illustration, and the whole becomes more valuable without becoming larger in the ways that tire a reader. Field Assembly grows that way. Each edition gathers what is new since the last, and the framework below is deliberately plain, because the point is accumulation over time, not announcements.
