Integrations are the tools you keep, made to stop contradicting each other. Most businesses need tools that agree more than they need fewer tools: the same client, the same date, the same number, wherever it appears.
They exist because every tool holds its own version of the truth, and the gaps between versions are where double-entry and small errors grow, quietly, until someone spends an afternoon deciding which version was right.
What changes when it is assembled
A fact entered once is the same fact everywhere. The spreadsheet that patched the gaps can retire, because the gap it patched has closed.
Integration is mostly about making the software already in use tell one story rather than several.
